What This Policy Covers

This policy describes what happens to information you give us through this website, and to the technical information your browser sends when you visit it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

It does not describe how we handle data inside the IT environments we manage for clients. Administrative access to a client system, the data held in it, and our obligations around that data are governed by the signed service agreement with that client, not by this page. Nothing here overrides that agreement.

Who We Are

This website is operated by ARC SAFE LAYER, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), a limited liability company registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and trading as ARC Safe Layer IT. We serve small businesses across Massachusetts & New England.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, which is limited to what you enter into the contact form on this website: your name, business email address, phone number (optional), company name, approximate number of employees, current IT provider, the services you indicated interest in, your preferred contact method, and the message you write.

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit, such as your browser type, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you viewed, and the site that referred you. This is standard web server information, recorded by our hosting provider.

This site runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and no third-party measurement of any kind.

How We Use Your Information

We use information you submit through the contact form solely to respond to your inquiry and to discuss how we might work together. We use technical information to keep the site working correctly and to protect it against abuse.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Submitting the contact form does not add you to a mailing list; we do not currently operate one.

Where consent is the basis on which we hold your information, that consent is given when you choose to submit the form, and you can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete what you sent.

Service Providers

We use a small number of third-party services to operate this website, each with access only to what it needs to do its job. Website hosting, and the function that receives contact form submissions, are provided by Vercel Inc. Resend is used to deliver those submissions to our inbox as email.

A contact form submission therefore passes through our host and our email delivery provider on its way to us, and is not shared with anyone else.

This site does not load fonts, scripts, styles or media from any third-party server. Typefaces are served from this domain, and the site’s Content Security Policy blocks requests to outside origins, so browsing these pages does not disclose your IP address to anyone but our host.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. It uses no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no analytics cookies, which is why you were not asked to dismiss a cookie banner on your way in.

If that ever changes — if we add analytics, a chat widget or a booking tool — this section will be updated before the change goes live, and a consent notice will appear where one is required.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep contact form submissions for a maximum of 12 months from the date you send them, after which they are deleted. If a conversation becomes a client relationship in the meantime, the information moves under the service agreement and is retained on the terms set out there.

Technical server logs are held by our hosting provider under its own retention practice; we keep no separate copy of them. We retain no analytics data, because we collect none.

When We May Disclose Information

We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so — to comply with a law, a court order, a subpoena, or a valid request from a government or regulatory authority.

We may also disclose information where it is necessary to investigate suspected fraud or abuse, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ARC Safe Layer IT, our clients, or the public. We limit any such disclosure to what the circumstances actually require.

How We Protect Your Information

This website is served over HTTPS, so information submitted through it is encrypted in transit. We apply access controls to the systems that receive contact form submissions and limit access to people who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Please do not send passwords, financial account details or other highly sensitive information through the contact form.

If we become aware of a security breach affecting personal information we hold about you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law, including the Massachusetts data breach notification law.

Your Rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to withdraw consent you previously gave. To make any of these requests, contact us at Info@arcsafelayer.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what is collected, the right to deletion and correction, the right to data portability, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. Exercising any of these rights will never cause us to treat you differently.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Consumer Advocacy and Response Division of the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General. California residents may also complain to the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.

Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and if we learn that we have, we delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we revise the “last updated” date and version shown at the top of this page. Where a change is significant, we will say so on the page for a reasonable period rather than let it pass unnoticed.
